We’ve been recongonised for our efforts in sustainability and are incredibly proud to have won Sustainability Initiative of the Year at the prestigious CFJ Awards 2024, thanks to our work on the Viva project in Torquay. This award celebrates our innovative approach to sustainable flooring, from product choices and waste reduction to creative ways we reused materials and worked with eco-conscious brands.

🌿 Ted Todd – Reclaimed & FSC®-Certified Wood
Ted Todd’s beautiful wood floors are crafted using only FSC® and PEFC™ certified wood — or better yet, reclaimed and antique wood that gives a new lease of life to existing materials.
🌿 Karta – Circular Design & Recycled Leather
Karta is a fantastic example of innovation in sustainability, with some ranges even made from recycled leather, turning waste from the fashion and furniture industries into beautiful, durable floors. All Karta flooring is made from 100% natural materials, making it a great eco-friendly alternative to LVT flooring.
🌿 Inspiration Naturals by Tarkett – Designed to be Recycled
Tarkett’s Inspiration Naturals range focuses on circular flooring, meaning products are designed to be reused and recycled at the end of their life. These floors also have low VOC emissions, making them healthier for indoor air quality.
🌿 Invictus LVT – Designed to Last
Invictus offers beautiful luxury vinyl that’s not only durable (reducing replacement waste), but also made with sustainable processes to lower its environmental impact.
🌿 Unnatural Flooring – Recycled & Resilient
Many of Unnatural Flooring’s woven vinyl products are made using recycled materials offering durable, stylish flooring that reduces waste and supports a circular economy.

Cormar Carpets are British-made, reducing transport miles and they actively reduce production waste while sourcing ethical wool and fibres.

🌿 Crucial Trading – Eco-Friendly Natural Fibres

Wherever we can, we choose low VOC products, helping to improve indoor air quality for our customers while reducing harmful emissions during installation.
✅ Bostik – Our Sustainable Adhesive & Subfloor Partner
We’re proud to work with Bostik, who are at the forefront of sustainable adhesive technology. Bostik’s subfloor preparation materials and adhesives are designed to have low environmental impact, including:
- Low VOC formulations
- Minimised solvent use
- Eco-friendly packaging
- Commitment to responsible sourcing and manufacturing
✅ Recycling with Recofloor
We also work with Recofloor, the vinyl flooring recycling scheme, to ensure that all our vinyl offcuts are collected and recycled into new products — keeping waste out of landfill.
✅ FSC-Certified Products Only
We only ever use FSC-certified products, guaranteeing that every piece of wood or wood-based flooring we install comes from responsibly managed forests.
About the Award-Winning Viva Project
The Viva project in Torquay was a perfect example of what we stand for — combining stunning, functional flooring with responsible materials and low-waste installation. Our approach to this project not only reduced its environmental footprint but also set a new standard for how flooring projects can embrace sustainability without compromising on quality.
This commitment to innovation and responsibility is what earned us the title of Sustainability Initiative of the Year at the CFJ Awards 2024 — a recognition we’re hugely proud of.
