A Nautical Makeover in the Heart of Brixham
As part of our long-standing relationship with the Mitch Tonks Group, we were proud to be involved in the refurbishment of the Rockfish Restaurant in Brixham. This project combined practical flooring solutions with a bold, seafaring aesthetic.
Striking Bar Walkway with Echo Ink
The bar walkway showcases Amtico Echo Ink in shades of grey-blue and cream. It brings contrast and depth to the space. A compass motif adds a standout design element that reinforces the nautical theme.
Marine-Inspired Flooring with Amtico Dry Teak
In the main dining area, we installed Amtico Dry Teak LVT with a black feature strip. This carefully chosen design mirrors the look of traditional ship decking, aligning perfectly with the restaurant’s coastal identity.
Flooring that works for every space
Seamless Stair Detailing
Continuing the nautical theme, the same Amtico Dry Teak was extended onto the staircase. We finished it with bold black stair nosings to match the feature strip and ensure safety. This consistent design detail provided a seamless flow between floors.
Restoring the Entrance with Care
At the restaurant entrance, we sanded and sealed the existing wooden herringbone floor. This preserved the wood’s natural warmth and character while improving durability.
Supporting Brixham’s Hospitality Sector
We’ve also worked at the local Fish Market in Brixham, where we installed Altro safety flooring, Altro resin screed, and Altro Whiterock cladding. These durable finishes continue to serve one of the town’s key commercial spaces.
A Continuing Collaboration
Our work with Mitch Tonks extends across the South West. Other projects include Rockfish Torquay, Rockfish Exmouth, and terrazzo tiling at The Seahorse in Dartmouth. Each location reflects a shared commitment to quality and detail.
