Flooring Matters delivered the full flooring package for the new AUK Supplies offices in Heathfield. Because the project sat close to our Newton Abbot base, it benefited from a highly collaborative, local approach.

The brief focused on creating a modern office environment built for everyday commercial use.

The project was completed in collaboration with local Interior Designer, Sarah Cox. Having worked together on several projects across Newton Abbot, coordination came naturally which helped align design intent with practical installation from the outset.

The works included entrance areas, stairwells, offices, boardrooms and circulation spaces.

Our Approach to Office Flooring in Newton Abbot

We planned and delivered a coordinated flooring installation across multiple floors with each area requiring a flooring solution suited to its function and foot traffic.

We worked closely with the design team to ensure the flooring supported the overall scheme. At the same time, we prioritised durability, safety and acoustic comfort.

Before installation began, we completed all required subfloor preparation which ensured a consistent finish and reliable long-term performance.

Flooring Brands and Products Used

A mix of trusted commercial flooring brands was used to suit different areas of the building.

  • Shaw Contract carpet tiles to offices, corridors and stair landings
  • IVC Step Up entrance matting tiles to the main lobby
  • IVC Matrix 70 Looselay LVT to breakout and circulation areas
  • Quantum stair nosings with contrasting inserts for safety
  • Low-stress latex smoothing was applied where required.

The Finished Office Space

The completed offices feel calm, modern and easy to work in – the flooring plays an important role in shaping how each space is used. Carpet tiles add comfort and help manage sound in working areas and LVT provides a clean, practical finish in higher-traffic zones. Together, the flooring creates a consistent look throughout the building.
