Bear Town – Cullompton
What We Did
Flooring Matters SW LTD recently supplied and installed 600 M2 of flooring at this new tourist attraction for toddlers in Devon.
Located between Exeter and Cullompton, Bear Town is the ultimate indoor role play experience. Built for children, Bear Town is a truly immersive play experience that supports the Early Years Foundation Stage. Alongside the unique role play areas is a relaxing café where visitors can enjoy a selection of freshly ground coffee, a range of hot and cold drinks, fresh cakes, snacks and delicious meals, all cooked on site.
To complete this interesting project, a variety of different floor coverings were used over the various areas of the attraction. Altro Walkway hard-wearing safety flooring was installed in the themed rooms, street and circulation areas. Altro Wood safety flooring was used in the cafe area and Altro Stronghold in the kitchen. Supercord carpet was used in the back of house areas.
Before laying the flooring moisture testing of the newly poured sub-floor was carried out. In preparation for the self leveling compound, the grinder was then used to remove surface laitance.
