Interface Vinyl Tiles at the AA HQ, Basingstoke

We’ve completed many jobs for Interface over the last couple of years, most of the projects were to fit their carpet tiles. This time though, Interface Antique Light Oak luxury vinyl tiles were installed at Fanum house, the AA headquarters in Basingstoke.

The Interface Level Set Collection of LVT Tiles are 4.5mm thick and designed to butt up seamlessly to their carpet tiles. This has the advantage of ensuring a seamless finish with no unsightly thresholds or trip hazards.

350 m2 of vinyl tiles were laid in 14 separate areas to be used as work stations, so we had to cut out over 120 access holes for power points.

We worked closely with Interface and AA staff to ensure as little disruption as possible, as staff were still working during the installation. All works were completed in two days by the Flooring Matters SW team.

Karndean Design Flooring Installed in Private Residence, Newton Abbot

Flooring Matters SW Ltd installed Karndean Art Select in Mountain Oak to this lovely private residence in Newton Abbot. A small plank was used and the floor was laid in a herringbone pattern throughout the ground floor of the house to stunning effect. We also supplied and installed bespoke colour match solid oak threshold to the doorway to cover the height difference between rooms

LVT Flooring Project at Rockfish Brixham

As part of a series of projects working with Mitch Tonks, we worked closely with Mitch and his team to deliver new flooring to Rockfish Brixham during their recent refit.

The project included installation of with Amitico Dry Teak LVT with black feature strip to recreate the effect of ships decking. We laid Amitico Echo Ink in deep grey-blue and cream to striking effect at the bar walk area and added a compass design to the floor to complete the nautical theme. Finally, we sanded and sealed the wooden herringbone floor at the entrance.

Also in Brixham recently, we installed Altro safety flooring, Altro Whiterock cladding and Altro resin screed to the Fish Market. The Fish market is planning to be opening in November.

We’re also currently working with Mitch and his team on an exciting Terrazo tiling job at the Seahorse in Dartmouth and work has just started on the refurbishment of Rockfish Torquay.

Karndean Design Flooring Installed in Old Success Inn, Cornwall

In 2020, we worked on the refurbishment of this contemporary hotel overlooking the sea in Sennen, Cornwall.

For the upstairs bedrooms, Newhay Essence Stone carpet was laid over Ball and Young Cloud 9 contract underlay. Downstairs, in the pet friendly accommodation installed Karndean Knight Tile.

LVT installation throughout Care Home in Exeter

Flooring Matters SW Ltd installed over 500 square metres of new Moduleo Transform luxury vinyl tiles in Verdon Oak throughout the entire care home.

Fernley House is situated next door to Highland Boarders care home which is part of a portfolio of many other private care home properties throughout Exeter owned by our happy clients of many years. The two buildings were knocked through to create one large property. Each bedroom has an en-suite wet room in which Flooring Matters installed Altro Aquarius non slip safety flooring vinyl, which has been specifically designed for maximum grip whilst being comfortable in barefoot. Flooring Matters also installed Altro safety flooring in conjunction with Altro Whiterock hygienic wall cladding to the new kitchen, potwash and food prep area, ensuring a safe non slip, clean and bacteria free environment which is easy to maintain for its residents.

Mokoko, Portishead Marina.

Flooring Matters and Tiling Matters SW Ltd installed all flooring, tiling and hygienic wall cladding at Mokoko coffee shop and bakery – recently voted one of the UK’s top 25 Coffee businesses by the Sunday times. We installed natural, sustainable and hard-wearing Marmoleum Solid flooring in meteorite. Altro 3mm stronghold and hygienic wall cladding were used in the commercial kitchen to meet strict hygiene regulations. Structural Skins 800 x 800 tiles in Amalfi mar, artiste green and straci white were used in the bakery and WCs and really finish off this on trend coffee shop in style.

Vinyl Flooring at Twelve Twenty Restaurant in Newton Abbot

This was our last job of 2019! New Karndean Opus vinyl floor tiles were installed in a checkerboard effect as part of a refurbishment at Twelve Twenty Restaurant in Newton Abbot.

Carpet Tiles and Safety Flooring installed at the Medical Centre, University of Plymouth

Flooring Matters SW Ltd installed over 1000 sqm of new vinyl and carpet throughout the Medex centre at Plymouth University. The products used were Tarkett Desso Pallas carpet tiles and Polysafe Arena safety flooring on 6mm flooring grade plywood. This challenging job involved cutting around over 230 air vents and traps and was completed on schedule.

Private residence – Brixham

Artisan oak oyster wooden flooring from the Kährs Original range was fitted in this beautiful coastal residence in Brixham. To protect the wood we applied a coat of hard wax oil to the flooring straight after fitting. On the stairs we installed matching solid oak nosings. We finished with Stairrod pewter trims.

Flooring at National Gym Chain in Exeter

A combination of rubber tiles, acoustic sports vinyl, carpet tiles, stair nosings and luxury vinyl tiles was installed at Snap Fitness 24/7 gym in Marsh Barton, Exeter in February 2018
